Birth isn’t just about birthing women, people and babies. It is about how humans experience the first breath of life, the foundations that are laid through that experience, what that means for their future, the future of the collective, our relationship to our bodies, to nature and the world. We are only beginning to understand the implications of perinatal psychology and birth imprinting. What we experience in utero, through birth and postpartum affects us into adulthood. The stripping of the sacred through colonisation and the industrialisation of birth have impacted our nervous systems in ways we were never designed to receive. The cultural. spiritual, psychological elements of safety have been erased. While we may be alive after birth, how are our relationships? How is our long term physical and metal health. When we are radicalised into the knowing that birthing and mothering are sacred connections to everything that is. To the birthing animals, to the ancestors, to the earth.
We have all stood at the edge, looking out over the horizon, with where we have been waiting behind us and the possibilities of where we could go stretching out across the horizon. It is easy to feel the great mystery here. We have all met our own edges, decided whether or not to cross internal thresholds, to jump into an unknown way of being, into the next phase of life…or whether to turn back, to stay where we are knowing we may perish. Edges are invitational, transitional places, places to die and be reborn. Places to begin again.

Why Breathwork for calling in Fertility and in the delicate days following birth?
The mainstream western model does not support post partum people. We so often rush to get back to “normal” life as though to rest and restore can only ever be a luxury. Such is the nature of of capitalist conditioning. Birthing a human being- no matter how calm or traumatic the experience- affects us holistically: physically, spiritually, and emotionally. The magnitude of birth is not something to be minimized. Many cultures all around the world recognize this with an average of 40 days of rest, during which time she is cared for by her community. When we remember and truly believe that birth and postpartum wellness are vital parts of collective wellbeing then we will invest in both. Birth and the postpartum influence the entire foundation of our collective human experience. Breathwork facilitates profound emotional release and transformation. It is an inroad for you into greater clarity, self-understanding, self-compassion, and ultimately expansion and a brave relationship with yourself.

In a world where the intellectual mind takes center stage, breathwork is a somatic tool that transcends cognitive boundaries. The breath, a fundamental and often overlooked aspect of our everyday lives, has the remarkable ability to unlock the wisdom held within our bodies, transcending the confines of our conscious minds.
The Power of the Breath:
The breath is more than just a physiological process; it serves as a bridge between the conscious and the subconscious, offering us access to a wellspring of knowledge and healing. Just like birth.
While our intellectual minds are invaluable, they often have limitations when it comes to accessing deep-seated emotions and traumas. Breathwork provides a path that circumvents the conscious mind, allowing us to connect with our emotions, memories, and inner wisdom on a visceral level.
The breath is a powerful tool for releasing physical and emotional tension that we carry within our bodies. As we breathe consciously and deeply, we can unwind the knots of stress, anxiety, and worry, promoting a sense of clarity.
Breathwork not only enables us to confront and work through our fears, we may also find the root of our fears and in turn be able to confront/release them. This is vital when birthing babies.
For many, unresolved trauma resides within, impacting our lives on various levels. Breathwork is a method to address and release trauma, allowing us to move forward with greater emotional freedom.
Healing birth is the work of us all:
Birth is an experience that touches us all, leaving an indelible imprint on our lives. Yet, the narratives surrounding birth, both past and present, have often been fraught with fear, trauma, and disconnection. It is time for us to embark on a transformative journey, to reclaim birth as a sacred rite of passage in all its forms. By delving deep into our individual and collective birth experiences, we have the opportunity to liberate our lineage from the shadows of the past and engage with birth in ALL its manifestations with clarity and power.
Birth as a Collective Experience:
Birth is not an isolated event; it is a shared human experience that binds us all. The stories, beliefs, and experiences surrounding birth shape our perceptions and attitudes, impacting generations to come.
